Take a bow: Thank You for Supporting Our Christmas Foodbank Appeal

As this years Christmas Foodbank Appeal reaches its key week, I am once again reminded of the incredible heart of our Wānaka and Upper Clutha community. This year, more than ever, your kindness has shone through and because of you, no whānau will miss out on support this holiday season.

From individuals dropping off home cooked treats, to families filling entire trolleys, and local businesses and organisations running fundraising offers or giving generously from their own budgets, every contribution has meant so much to us. Together, everyone has helped stock our shelves with essentials and special Christmas kai as well as, contributed vital financial support that allows us to meet the growing demand across our region at this time of the year.

We have been humbled by the incredible stream of food donations, the thoughtful Christmas treats, and the generosity of those who quietly give without seeking recognition. Local organisations stepped up in force again this year, supplying goods and fundraising, and rallying their teams. Businesses, schools, service clubs, and countless individuals all played a part in creating something truly special.

Thanks also to our team of volunteers. Your compassion helps lighten the load ensuring everyone receives what they need at Christmas.

Your generosity reminds us why this place is so special. When our community comes together, incredible things happen.

From all of us at Community Link, we wish you a safe and very Merry Christmas.
