Community Link is bringing food support closer to Hāwea and Makarora with a new pop-up foodbank at the Lake Hāwea Community Centre. This weekly service is a practical, community-led response to growing cost-of-living pressures and the added challenges of winter. Open every Wednesday from 12–2pm, it aims to make accessing support easier for local households by reducing the need to travel into Wānaka.
